Sheriff to speak at League of Women Voters meeting
1-Tribune

Barton County Sheriff Brian Bellendir is scheduled to speak at the League of Women Voters of Great Bend meeting, set for noon Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the Classic Inn restaurant, 1 S. Patton Road. Lunch will be from the menu or buffet.
Bellendir planned to speak at the December LOWV meeting, but was called away on a drug bust. He again plans to discuss the crime rate in Barton County, the nature of the crimes and what is being done to combat them. He will talk about law enforcement’s challenges in general and the rising threat to life officers face every day.
Lunch is informal and questions and dialog are expected. Guests are welcome.
