LARNED — On Friday night into Saturday morning, March 29-30, the Kansas Highway Patrol, Pawnee County Sheriff’s office, and Larned Police Department will conduct a Sobriety Checkpoint in Larned to locate intoxicated drivers.

Drivers will be stopped and those suspected of intoxication will be given brief sobriety field tests. Appropriate enforcement action will then be taken.

The goal of the program is to increase overall motorist safety by removing impaired drivers from the road.
