The public can receive information about solar leases and zoning regulation at a free program Tuesday evening.

In the interest of all Barton County and area landowners, Barton County Farm Bureau Association will host an informative, question-and-answer meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, in room F-30 at Barton Community College. The Seminar Room, F-30, is located in the Fine Arts building. The day of the week for this program was incorrect in Sunday’s Great Bend Tribune.

Area landowners have been contacted by representatives of the solar industry offering contracts. 

Farm Bureau knows the importance of understanding contract language. Understanding what the contract says will not only protect the landowner but also the land. Kansas Farm Bureau’s legal counsel will be present. Representatives from the solar companies have been extended an invitation to attend as well.
