Barry J. Bowers, Great Bend, entered four carvings at the Kansas State Fair this year and won four ribbons.

“This was the first year to enter for me so I was pleasantly surprised,” Bowers said. “I got 1st in Caricature group, 2nd in Instructor assisted, 3rd in Realistic single and 3rd in Holiday item.”
