A Hoisington motorist was injured Monday afternoon when the car he was driving left a Barton County road and struck a culvert.
The Barton County Sheriff’s Office reports Benjamin Batt, 17, was transported to Clara Barton Hospital by Hoisington Emergency Medical Service. The accident occurred at 4:10 p.m. in the 1000 block of NW 10 Ave. Deputies determined that Batt was driving a 1996 Pontiac Grand Am and lost control of the car due to speed and the washboard roadway. He was wearing a seat belt.
The car was towed by Marmie’s.
