Observing the September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance, volunteer youth from educational organizations across the county, in conjunction with RSVP & Volunteers in Action of Central KS, visited Great Bend first responders Saturday morning, Sept. 12, and delivered individual care packages to Fire Fighters, Emergency Medical personnel, Police and Sheriffs.  Volunteers included members of the Barton Softball and Dance Theater teams, area high school seniors, and more. Barton County Community College - RSVP was one of several Kansas Volunteer Commission mini-grant recipients. Proceeds made the observance possible.
