ST. JOHN — St John Elementary second grade teacher Bonnie Dickson, Tammy and Dr. Joe Rosenberg and school nurse Lisa Cornwell collected three boxes of Halloween treats to send to active duty U.S. Troops. Rosenberg is a St. John dentist.  He sponsored the Soldier’s Angels Treats for Troops challenge in St. John.

The program ships donated candy to deployed service members around the world and distributes to veterans in VA hospitals across the country.

“The program received a great response,” said Lisa Cornwell, school nurse St. John.  “Families sent their extra Halloween candy back to school. It surprised me how much and we’ve received!”

The Rosenberg’s purchased Rubik's Cubes, Play-Doh, and bouncing balls as prizes for kids who brought candy.
