Two people were arrested by a Barton County Sheriff’s Office deputy after a vehicle pursuit in Barton County at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, in the 600 Block of NE 10 Ave.
According to the Barton County Sheriff’s office, Corey Bradley, 22, of rural Hoisington, and Briana Earegood, 21, of Great Bend, were arrested after Bradley attempted to flee from the deputy while driving north on 10 Avenue. The pursuit continued for approximately 3 miles when the Bradley attempted to cross a low water crossing that contained high water. The vehicle came to an abrupt stop.
Barton County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a 1995 black Chevrolet Tahoe for a minor traffic violation before the driver fled from law enforcement.
Bradley was arrested for possession of controlled substances, driving while suspended and numerous other traffic violations. Earegood was arrested for an outstanding warrant issued by the Hoisington Municipal Court.
Both were transported to the Barton County Jail without incident.
Bradley remains in custody with a $2,500 bond and Earegood was release on Saturday after posting a $1,00O bond.
