KansasWorks Great Bend, located at 1025 Main St., will host a Veterans and Family Resource Fair on Saturday, June 3. Sessions will run from 11 a.m. to noon and 1-3 p.m.
“I would like to encourage military service members and their families to take this opportunity to learn what is offered at the workforce center, Veterans Employment Representative Kendall Lang said. “We are a one-stop shop for employment, training and other types of assistance.”
This free event offers job search tips, resume writing/review, and help completing state and federal applications. Participants can also learn about veteran benefits, housing and education.
A Veterans Affairs representative will be available to discuss health benefits, a Barton Community College representative will explain education benefits and representatives from KansasWorks will have information about employment opportunities.
Veterans are not required to bring any type of documents with them.
For more information call the workforce center, 620-793-5445, or email GreatBendJobs@ks.gov.
