A stabbing that reportedly occurred somewhere in the Highrise apartment building Saturday night was the result of a domestic altercation, according to the Great Bend Police Department.

Lt. Bill Browne said Monday that a male victim was treated at Great Bend Regional Hospital and has since been released.
At 10:46 p.m., the man walked to Charlie’s Place, 1109 Main, and flagged down a police officer. He reported he’d been stabbed at the Great Bend Housing Authority, or Highrise, located a block east at 1101 Kansas Ave. He lives in one of the apartments.

Browne said the case is still under investigation. As always, anyone with information is asked to call the GBPD, 793-4120, or Crime Stoppers, 792-1300.
