The sand volleyball tournament and United Way community barbecue scheduled for this coming Sunday at Veterans Memorial Park have been canceled, due to high waters from recent rains, Great Bend Community Coordinator Christina Hayes announced.

The events were part of Great Bend’s lineup of June Jaunt activities. Both the volleyball tournament and the barbecue will be rescheduled, said Hayes, who apologized for any inconvenience. “Please be sure to check the June Jaunt Schedule of events for Sunday to enjoy the other activities, such as Gardens Galore and Quilt Walk & Display.”
