Winter weather advisory issued

WICHITA — The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a winter weather advisory for Barton, Rice, Ellsworth and Russell counties from midnight to 6 p.m. Thursday.

Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are expected along and north of a line from Great Bend to Salina. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected along and north of

 a line from Hutchinson to Marion.

The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
