Rachel Stoutamire will present The “Value Women Less” Amendment: The History of Reproductive Oppression and Defeating Anti-Abortion Efforts in a live Facebook discussion sponsored by Women for Kansas on Saturday, March 19.

The program will be streaming live on the Women for Kansas Facebook page. For those unable to watch live, the event will be recorded and uploaded to the Women for Kansas YouTube Channel for your viewing anytime.

“Ms. Stoutamire will be discussing the tragic history of abortion efforts in the United States and what we can do to prevent the “Value Women Less” amendment (that will be voted on in the August 2nd Kansas Primary Election) from passing,” sponsors said. “Rachel is a dynamic speaker with loads of information to share with us.”

Stoutamire was born and raised in Junction City and received her bachelor’s in Health & Human Performance from Emporia State. She is a Kansas Organizer for Planned Parenthood Great Plains Votes. In this position, she is building a movement to protect access to sexual and reproductive health in Kansas. She has done extensive research on early abortion practices in the United States, the repercussions if this amendment passes, and strategies to defeat it.
