The annual Watching Young Artists Grow exhibit featuring art by students in Great Bend USD 428 grades K-8 is now on display at the Barton County Historical Society Museum, 85 South U.S. 281. A reception will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at the museum, which co-hosts the exhibit with the Barton County Arts Council. The students’ colorful works are on display through April 28.

Great Bend USD 428 art instructors are Shannon Wedel, elementary school art instructor; Miraya Starnes who rotates through the elementary schools with Mrs. Wedel; and Pamela Williams, Great Bend Middle School art instructor.

“We encourage the public to attend and enjoy the fantastic and inspiring efforts of our community’s young people,” said Karen Neuforth, reasearch coordinator at the museum.
