Seventy-three-year-old Sidney Leroy Huff of Wichita died Tuesday morning after being struck by a semi while changing a tire in Franklin County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2016 Kenworth semi driven by 51-year-old Jerry Tiger of Wichita was northbound on I-35 at mile marker 192.5 and failed to maintain its lane. The semi drove over the white edge line and struck Huff, who was changing the flat left front tire of his 2005 Chevy Impala. Tiger continued driving northbound until being stopped by law enforcement near Gardner.
Ealy Jamal Bell, a passenger in the Impala, and Tiger, the driver of the Kenworth, were not injured.
