Great Bend Police
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a parked vehicle at an unknown location, it was reported Thursday. A hit-and-run accident in the 1800 block of Washington St. was also reported.
When a man was stopped for driving with a suspended license, Thursday afternoon on 17th St., an unknown passenger ran from the vehicle. Police later received a tip that a person with outstanding warrants had fled the vehicle.
Barton County Sheriff
A burglary at a Barton Community College housing unit was reported Thursday night. Someone broke a window and reportedly stole items in excess of $500 in value.
Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made six ambulance runs on Thursday. They had one fire call, which was a false alarm.
