Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made 11 ambulance runs on Friday, five Saturday and seven Sunday. There were no fires, but there was one false alarm on Saturday.

 

Barton County Sheriff

An unknown subject used a Barton County resident’s debit card on the Internet, it was reported Saturday.

Theft of a bale cart from NE 120 Ave. and NE 60 Road over the past year was reported Saturday.

A non-injury, rollover accident occurred around 1:40 p.m. Saturday on Radium Road (SW 50 Ave. and SW 70 Road).

An accident occurred at 5:49 a.m. Saturday by the curves on the Boyd Blacktop (NW 30 Ave. and NW 80 Road). This was reported as a minor injury accident with Hoisington ambulance responding. Two people were in the car and both were wearing seat belts.

 

Great Bend Police

Theft from 1416 21st St. was reported Friday.

Theft of a barbecue grill from 2514 Walnut Drive was reported Friday.

Theft of a Trek-brand bicycle from Golden Belt Bicycle Company, 1111 Main, was reported Friday.

At 2:33 a.m. Saturday, a male who was described as very intoxicated reported someone stealing his pickup. After the case number was assigned, the vehicle was located where the man had left it. The 39-year-old man was later arrested on an outstanding warrant from Shawnee County.

A gas skip involving subjects in a black two-door car was reported at 9:08 a.m. Saturday at 4107 10th St.

Damage to the passenger side window on a 2000 Ford Mustang at 805 Hubbard St. was reported Sunday. Loss was $150.

At 10:51 p.m. Sunday, a notice to appear in municipal court for alleged cruelty to animals was served on Jennifer Zabala, 25, at 222 Hickory St.
