Injury crash reported on I-70

ELLSWORTH COUNTY — Two vehicles were involved in an injury crash Monday afternoon when the driver lost control of a sport utility vehicle due to a blown tire. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred at 1:08 p.m. in Ellsworth County on Interstate 70, 0.1 miles west of the K-14 junction.

A 2005 Chevy SUV driven by Marta F. Bravo-Rodriguez, 45, from Tulsa, Oklahoma, was westbound when the rear passenger-side tire blew out. The SUV rolled over into the north ditch, striking a second vehicle in the process.

Bravo-Rodriguez was taken to Ellsworth County Medical Center with suspected minor injuries. Four passengers had no apparent injuries.

The second vehicle, a 2001 Isuzu SUV, sustained minor damage but the driver, Blaine J. Archer from Dickson, Tennessee, had no apparent injury

Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
