Multiple car burglaries reported

The Great Bend Police Department received reports Monday from people whose vehicles had been broken into over the weekend.

Items were reportedly stolen from a locked car at 5932 Westridge Drive, and an iPod was taken from a vehicle at the same address.

A cell phone was taken from a vehicle at 6036 Broadway Ave.

Monday afternoon, a subject reported cash had been stolen from a vehicle at Great Bend High School, 2027 Morton St., and Monday evening, theft of a shotgun from a vehicle at 5837 Broadway was reported.

Late Monday night, a resident in the 300 block of Buckeye St. reported a car alarm going off, but officers did not find anyone or any damage.

In addition to the vehicle burglaries, a resident at 326 C St. reported someone breaking into his storage shed and stealing miscellaneous items.

Police also received a report Monday afternoon that a wrench had been stolen off a trailer at 522 Morton St.

 

Great Bend Police

A theft that allegedly occurred in August at a Great Bend residence was reported Monday.

A $20 gas skip was reported at 2337 Washington at 5:11 p.m. Monday. The suspect was a woman driving a blue GMC sport utility vehicle.

Tyler Boek was driving west on 10th St. at 5:24 p.m. Monday and struck a vehicle driven by David Jacobs that was stopped in traffic.

Miguel Gonzalez was driving east on 19th St. at 6:46 p.m. Monday and lost control, striking the curb.
