Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made one ambulance run on Monday, five Tuesday and four Wednesday.
There was a grease fire on top of a stove at 2100 Broadway at 10:53 a.m. Tuesday. Damage was minimal.
At 11 a.m. Tuesday GBFD gave mutual aid to Pawnee Rock for a structure fire.
At 4:08 p.m. Tuesday there was a small fire in a trash can in the 1700 block of 10th St., and at 8:51 p.m. firefighters performed a carbon monoxide check.
At 8:48 p.m. Wednesday a smoke smell was checked and was coming from a breaker box. There was a vehicle fire at 1202 Adams St. at 10:14 p.m. Wednesday. The fire was in the engine compartment on a 1984 Chevy pickup and did not appear to be suspicious.
Great Bend Police
Two people reported someone had gone through their vehicles Tuesday night, at 2920 10th St. and at 3400 Lakin, but nothing was missing. A purse was reportedly stolen from another vehicle at 2920 10th St.
Vehicles driven by Bryanda Richards and Margaret Schlegel collided at 3:18 p.m. Wednesday at Broadway and Washington.
At 12:34 a.m. Thursday, police received a report that someone had broken into a storage shed at 2101 31st St., stealing approximately $950 worth of tools.
Barton County Sheriff
A burglary at 633 Cheyenne View Dr. in Barton Hills was reported Wednesday. Ninety Lortab pills were taken from a bedroom dresser.
