Great Bend Police

Theft of a Craftsman lawn mower from 601 Washington St. was reported Wednesday. Loss was $350.

A vehicle driven by Cinthia Espino was northbound in the 1200 block of Hubbard St. at 6:09 p.m. Wednesday and rear-ended a vehicle driven by Stephanie Galusha, who was slowing down to park.

Theft of money from the residence at 223 Elm St. was reported Wednesday.

At 9:19 p.m. Wednesday, dispatch reported an unknown motorist driving east in the 300 block of NW 10 Road had gone off the roadway into the flood control area. Dove’s responded with a wrecker and took the vehicle to their lot.

 

Barton County Sheriff

A 4:45 a.m. Thursday the sheriff’s office impounded a vehicle in the 10 block of NE 70 Ave. that was creating a traffic hazard as it was parked on the side of the road by U.S. 56. It was towed to Dove’s to be held at the owner’s expense.

There was a foot chase from 4:48 to 4:56 a.m. Thursday in Hoisington, when a man with an outstanding warrant in Stevens County was spotted in the area of North Vine and West Ninth St. He was seen running by the middle school and in an alley on 10th St. BCSO assisted the Hoisington Police Department.
