Firefighters made two ambulance runs on Tuesday and eight on Wednesday. There were no fires.

Truck driver Rito Vasquez Jr. lost control and jackknifed in the 10 block of SW 70 Road at 4:06 p.m. Wednesday.

A bicycle found in a yard was booked in as found property.
Items were stolen from a storage shed at 1123 Washington St. Loss was $3,050.
A vehicle driven by Brenda Brown was eastbound on 20th St. turning south on Washington at 1:33 p.m., and struck a vehicle driven by Mary Bitter, who was northbound on Washington. Brown was arrested and booked into the Barton County Jail on a charge of driving under the influence. Bond was set at $1,000.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a legally parked vehicle at 1217 Williams St.
A vehicle driven by Ross Oeser was southbound on Jackson St. at 3:41 p.m. and struck a vehicle driven by Karen Milsap, who was westbound on 12th St.
Police were called at 4:28 p.m. after a man allegedly exposed himself to a woman on 19th St.
After Great Bend Coffee, 2015 Lakin Ave., closed Wednesday, owner Paul Wagoner reported finding a purse left in the store. It was returned to its owner, a 70-year-old woman.
A burglary at 208 Maple St. was reported at 4:37 a.m. Thursday. A propane shop heater and two tanks were stolen.
