Barton County Sheriff

A vehicle hit a deer on East K-4 and NE 40 Ave. at 6:27 p.m. Friday. Kansas Highway Patrol responded.

Burglary and theft of an electric heater from a well shack in the 100 block of NE 30 Road was reported Friday.

Locks were cut on storage sheds at 31 NE 30 Road, it was reported Saturday. Nothing was taken.

A resident at 624 Flora Ave., Pawnee Rock, came home Sunday evening and found the front door had been kicked in or pried open.

A hit-and-run vehicle struck a parked car at 4200 10th St., it was reported Friday.

A burglary at 1417 Sherman St. was reported. Someone entered the garage and took items from a vehicle.

A tag was stolen from a vehicle at 407 Evergreen St.

A $40 gas skip at 5200 10th St. was reported at 12:37 p.m. Friday.

Two forged checks on a closed account were received at a business.

A burglary at 5501 10th St. was reported Friday. Four air conditioners and other items were taken out of storage. Approximate loss was $2,000.

Theft of $120 cash from a wallet at 3503 10th St. was reported Friday evening.

A vehicle driven by Kirk Sanders was southbound on Holland St. at 10:43 a.m. Saturday and struck a vehicle driven by Charlotte Campbell, who was eastbound on 16th St.

A resident reported unknown persons posing as her grandson and wanting money sent to Brazil. No money was sent.

Someone entered a residence at 3019 18th St. and took items, it was reported Saturday.

Theft of a 2002 Ford Taurus from 1622 19th St. was reported at 6:12 a.m. Sunday.

Theft of a credit card from 3423 16th St. was reported Friday.

A hit-and-run vehicle struck a traffic light on 10th St., it was discovered Sunday morning.

A broken window on a Volkswagen at 1210 Hubbard St. was reported Sunday.
