Great Bend Police

Thursday reports:

A hit-and-run vehicle struck a vehicle on private property at 4107 10th St.

A report was taken on an alleged sex offense.

A vehicle driven by Ana Zungia was northbound on the U.S. 281 Bypass at 1:42 p.m. and struck a vehicle driven by John Cruz, who was also northbound but stopped in traffic, waiting to turn left.

Officers were summoned to the Balzell Motel, 705 10th St., at 1:49 p.m. by a subject who was intoxicated and acting strange. He was taken to the jail and evaluated by the on-call psychologist, and deemed a danger. The subject was then taken to Larned State Hospital.

A known person allegedly stole items from Walmart, 3503 10th St.

A different known person allegedly stole items from Love’s Travel Shop, 1221 10th St.

A burglary was reported at 1723 Stone St. Someone entered the residence and took items.

Gas was stolen from Convenience Corner, 1906 Main St.

 

Barton County Sheriff

A loaded truck got turned sideways on K-4 at NW 60 Ave. at 4:55 a.m. Thursday, partially blocking traffic. Kansas Department of Transportation was notified of road blockage and stop sign damage.

The K-9 Unit assisted the Kansas Bureau of Investigation at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the KBI Great Bend office, 625 Washington St.

A 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse went off the 100 block of NW 20 Ave. at 3:45 p.m. Thursday.
