Great Bend Police
Theft of money from a benefit account at the Credit Union of America, 4708 10th St., was reported Wednesday.
An identity theft case was taken Wednesday after a Great Bend resident reported unauthorized use of an account.
A known person allegedly took a 1999 Ford Explorer from an individual in Great Bend by deception, it was reported Wednesday. The vehicle was entered into the National Crime Institute Center database.
An intimidation case was taken Thursday after a known person allegedly told an individual not to come to court in reference to a case.
Theft of a bicycle from a yard at 1014 Hubbard St. was reported Thursday.
An officer assisted the La Crosse Police Department in reference to a theft case by going to an address in the 1200 block of Jefferson St. at 2:36 p.m. Thursday.
A burglary at 1115 Stone St. was reported Thursday afternoon. Someone broke into the garage and took tools.
An unknown motorist in a silver car was eastbound on 24th St. at 11:31 p.m. Thursday and struck a vehicle driven by Nicholas Rose, who was westbound on 24th, and then left the area.
A 30-year-old man allegedly broke two windows on a residence at 1220 1/2 Jefferson St. at 1:24 a.m. Friday after a woman locked him out of the house. He left prior to an officer’s arrival, but returned at 2:28 a.m. He again left before an officer arrived. At 3:46 a.m. an unknown caller reported he had returned to the residence and was arguing with the woman. He was arrested for criminal damage to property and booked in lieu of bond.

Barton County Sheriff
Theft of a residential air conditioner from 595 North U.S. 281 was reported Thursday.
A possible structure fire was reported at 6:14 p.m. Thursday when someone saw smoke coming out of vents on a house at Zarah Drive and Odell Street. There was a barbecue in the garage.
Introduction of contraband was reportedly discovered at the jail on Thursday evening when an inmate was allegedly found in possession of a lighter and tattoo making equipment. Two criminal damage to property cases were also taken when officers found torn pillows in E Pod.
A Dodge Intrepid hit a deer on East U.S. 56 near NE 27 Ave. at 9:40 p.m. Thursday.

Kansas Highway Patrol
A semi-trailer was blown off of Interstate 70, Wednesday night in Russell County. The driver, Cedric Miles, 45, of Grandview, Mo., was taken to Russell Regional Hospital with undetermined injuries. Miles was eastbound on I-70 at 8:50 p.m., and was a mile east of 189th St. when strong winds blew the Mack semi-trailer into the median, where it rolled onto its left side. Miles was wearing a seat belt. Due to the weather, the semi-trailer was left overnight.
