Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters was dispatched to 5960 Aspen on Saturday for a report of a gas leak. Tools were taken to the back of the house to the alleyway and the meter was shut off. Chief Mike Napolitano said the owner had hit the gas line where it goes into the house with a lawn mower.
At 2:05 a.m. Sunday they responded to 702 NW 10 Road for a controlled burn that was smoldering.
There was a small fire at 6 p.m. Monday on the river dike on south Kiowa Road.
Firefighters made four ambulance runs on Friday, 10 Saturday, seven Sunday and seven Monday.

Other fire departments
Ellinwood responded to a small brush fire in 300 block of SE 40 Ave., a quarter mile north of SE 40 Road, at 3:20 a.m. Sunday.

Great Bend Police
Theft of money from the residence at 1216 Jefferson St. was reported Friday.
Reports were taken on two alleged sex offenses in Great Bend.
At 2:10 a.m. Saturday, it was reported that an unknown person damaged the inside of a vehicle at 316 Heizer St.
Money was stolen during a burglary at 1216 Jefferson St., it was reported Saturday.
A vehicle driven by Richard Etim was eastbound on Broadway at 6:22 p.m. Sunday and struck a vehicle driven by LaShawn Whipple, who was southbound on Morton and failed to yield the right of way.
A car driven by Sierra Drake was westbound in the 3200 block of 21st St. at 7:38 p.m. Saturday and struck a parked vehicle.
A domestic report became a possible aggravated assault case when a woman reported a known male had threatened her with a knife.
At 10:40 p.m. Saturday, an individual reported someone stole his prescription meds at 3017 10th St.
At 11:01 p.m. Saturday, an officer found several vehicles parked in the grass at Veterans Memorial Park and the cable fence had been cut. A criminal damage to property case was taken and everyone was asked to leave.
A hit-and-run-vehicle struck a parked vehicle at 801 Madison St., it was reported Sunday.
Theft of groceries from Dillon’s, 1811 Main, was reported Sunday.

Barton County Sheriff
Deputies from the Barton County Sheriff’s Office performed an outside agency assist at 633 Flora Ave. in Pawnee Rock at 7:11 p.m. Friday when the Pawnee County Sheriff’s Office served warrants on an individual.
An accident case was taken for a minor non-injury accident at 217 North Main, involving a Hoisington Police Department vehicle, at 12:32 a.m. Saturday.
Theft of a red Honda three-wheeler from 31 SE 10 Road was reported Sunday.
A four-wheeler that was reported stolen from 202 SE 50 Ave. last Thursday was returned by an unknown person on Sunday evening.
