Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury accident that occurred three miles east of Albert on K-96 last Thursday was reported Monday. A vehicle hit a deer.

A "use of force"case was taken after a disorderly conduct issue Monday morning at the jail.

Criminal use of a financial card was reported Monday.

Cole Archer, 18, and Jamie Stroud, 19, both of Great Bend, were injured in an all terrain vehicle accident at 6:10 p.m. Monday. Archer was driving an Arctic Cat in a field east of 238 North Washington Ave. when the ATV hit a bump and flipped. Stroud was a passenger but jumped off before the vehicle flipped. Great Bend Fire Department Ambulance responded. Archer injured his hip and Stroud sustained a leg injury.

 

Great Bend Police

Monday reports:

Someone entered a pickup at 210 Baker Ave. and took the stereo.

Taylor Mitner was driving west on 10th St. at 3:36 p.m. and lost control. The vehicle hit a light pole.
