Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made six ambulance runs on Monday.
Units responded to a reported grass fire on the south side of Stone Lake at 10:56 a.m. They found smoke coming from a grove of trees. However, the fire was not from the trees, but from underbrush and pampas grass. Units were on the scene for about an hour.
