Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made 11 ambulance runs Friday, eight Saturday and two Sunday.
At 11:36 a.m. Friday, units responded to 2300 Broadway Ave., for a report of smoke coming from the roof.  They found the air-conditioner compressor had malfunctioned, causing oil to leak.
At 5:49 p.m. Saturday, units responded to 1219 Jefferson for a natural gas leak. The gas meter behind the residence had been hit and sheared off at ground level.  Fire personnel plugged the leak to stop the gas flow.  The gas company arrived to make repairs.
At 8:16 p.m. Saturday, units responded to 20 SE 40 Ave. for a pasture fire that got into the trees, and at 9:45 p.m., units responded to 750 NW 20 Road for a ditch fire (see related story).

Great Bend Police
Items were stolen from a trailer at 2907 21st St., it was reported Friday.
Vehicles driven by Robert Berg and Andrea Price collided at 5:34 p.m. Friday in the 1500 block of 10th St.
A windshield was broken at 4107 10th St.
Vehicles driven by Maria Ramirez and Luis Guillermo collided at 7:08 p.m. Friday at Third and Heizer St.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a vehicle parked at 517 Washington.
A window on a Dodge Nitro at 2544 11th St. was broken sometime Friday night.
A woman stole a pair of boots from Orscheln Farm & Home store, 5320 10th St., it was reported Saturday.
A vehicle driven by Robert Gagle was backing in the alley behind 1219 Jefferson St. at 5:49 p.m. Saturday and struck a gas meter.
A hit-and-run vehicle slid across a yard at 401 Plum St. and hit a parked vehicle.
At 10:21 a.m. Sunday, an officer reported finding a cell phone and 8 grams of meth in a front yard on 23rd St.
At 12:39 p.m., a man reported damage to his vehicle at 801 Madison St. It had been involved in an accident at an unknown location.
At 6:40 p.m., a wallet was found in the roadway, in the 2800 block of Main.
A vehicle driven by Cody Birzer struck a parked vehicle at 9:19 p.m. at 1431 22nd St.
At 10:15 p.m., police received a report that a subject was slashing screens and had broken three windows on a residence at 5912 Eisenhower Court.

Barton County Sheriff
A pickup went off the dead end at SW 20 Road and SW 10 Ave. around 7:39 a.m. Friday.
A vehicle hit a deer at 3:55 a.m. Saturday on North U.S. 281 and NE 50 Road.
Cash was reportedly stolen from a wallet in the Bluestem dorm at Barton Community College.
Items were reportedly stolen from vehicles parked at the college on Saturday.
A vehicle hit a deer at 8:37 p.m. Saturday at SE 20 Road and SE 105 Ave.
