Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made four ambulance runs Wednesday. There were no fires.

An Everstart battery was stolen from a pickup at 1427 11th St. Loss was $150.
Rebecca Drach reportedly backed a vehicle from a parking stall on Broadway at 1:16 p.m. Wednesday and struck a vehicle driven by Melvina Gruber then left the area. She was stopped and citations issued.
A hit-and-run injury accident in the Walmart parking lot, 3503 10th St., was reported at 2:36 p.m. Wednesday after a vehicle struck Marry Mull.

Barton County Sheriff’s Office
The BCSO call log shows wet hay bales at 54 SE 130 Ave. caught on fire at 3:37 a.m. Wednesday, and at 9:22 a.m. hay bales were on fire at SE 60 Ave. and SE 60 Road.
Trash was dumped at NE 10 Ave. and NE 20 Road.
A vehicle hit a deer on North U.S. 281 and NW 210 Road around 11 p.m. Wednesday.
