Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made seven ambulance runs on Tuesday and nine on Wednesday.
At  6:15 a.m. Wednesday, units responded to a smoke detector going off. There was no fire; the detector needed a new battery. They also performed a carbon monoxide check at a home.
On Thursday morning, a structure fire was reported at 1113 Frey St.

Great Bend Police
A vehicle driven by Raul Moreno-Alonzo struck a parked vehicle at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the 1400 block of Jackson St.
Vehicles driven by Katherine Wagner and Timothy Bales collided at 1:07 p.m. Wednesday at Broadway and Stone St.
A snowblower was reportedly stolen from a pickup while it was parked at Walmart, 3503 10th St.


Barton County Sheriff
A Chevy Silverado slid into the ditch at 7:54 a.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of NE 30 Road.
A Peterbilt semitrailer jackknifed on K-156 at 1:18 p.m. Tuesday when the driver attempted to pull into the rest area and the trailer ended up in the ditch.
Another semi jackknifed on NW K-96 and NW 60 Ave. around 11:30 a.m., but the driver did not need assistance. And a semi was reported in the ditch on NW 40 Road and NW 30 Ave. (Boyd Road) at 6:16 p.m., but the driver advised he had called for assistance and no report was needed.
A hit-an-run vehicle struck a carport at 4 NW 30 Road A12 Lot 1.
