Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters did not make any ambulance runs Wednesday and the only fire call was a false alarm.
They made 11 ambulance runs on Thursday’s shifts and there were three fire calls.
At 10:47 a.m. they responded to a grease fire in a kitchen at 812 Monroe St. When they arrived the fire had been partially extinguished by the occupant. The fire was completely extinguished and the house cleared of smoke.
At 10:36 p.m. units were sent to 319 McKinley to check out smoke in that area. They reported that the weather conditions were causing the smoke coming from the stove at that address to hang low.
At 2:02 a.m. Friday a carbon monoxide check was performed at 1318 Warner Road; nothing was found.

Barton County Sheriff
A non-injury accident was reported at 11:15 p.m. Thursday at N. Court St. and W. 7th St. in Hoisington.

Great Bend Police
A burglary was reported Thursday at Dave’s Truck Repair, 604 10th St. Someone entered the building and stole tires.
A gas skip involving a white Ford F-150 was reported at 4:14 p.m. at Love’s Country Store, 1221 10th St.
A search warrant was executed around 6:16 p.m. at 2915 24th St.
Around 1 a.m. on Friday, a subject was arrested on a traffic stop in the 1500 block of 10th St., and booked in the county jail on outstanding warrants.
