Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made eight ambulance runs Tuesday. At 2:52 p.m., they responded to Eazy Street restaurant, 54 NE 20 Road, for a structure fire, but upon arrival it had been extinguished by the employees. Fire Chief Mike Napolitano said employees were working in the kitchen when they smelled smoke and went to the back door, where they found fire melting the siding off the back of the building. The fire started near a cardboard box that was full of cooking oil.

Great Bend Police
A dog bite was reported Tuesday morning at 2401 Railroad Ave. The dog was picked up by Golden Belt Humane Society and the owner cited for dog and large and no rabies vaccination.
A 1986 Ford pickup was reportedly stolen from 1910 Madison St.
The humane society was called to 1623 Main at 11:57 a.m. to handle a cat in a wheel well on a vehicle.
An identity theft case was taken Tuesday.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a parked vehicle in the 3100 block of Lakin Ave.
Someone broke a window on a vehicle at 2432 Walnut Dr.

Barton County Sheriff
Golden Belt Humane Society took three dogs into custody Tuesday after they reportedly strayed from a neighboring home, and attacked and killed a goat at 57 SW 10 Road.
