Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made four ambulance runs on Tuesday and one fire run at  9:24 p.m. Fire units responded to 200 block of Plum Street for a fire. Upon arrival found an abandoned cellar that had a large amount of construction debris from the house that was being torn down on the property burning. The fire was extinguished.
Firefighters made eight ambulance runs on Wednesday. There were no fires.

Great Bend Police
Criminal damage was reported to a building at the Highland Hotel/Great Bend Events Center, 3017 10th St.
Shoplifting  was reported at 4107 10th St. A suspect was served a notice to appear in municipal court.
Aggravated battery was reported. Victim was allegedly cut by a knife by the suspect at 711 Morphy St. Laura Stroup, Great Bend, was booked into the Barton County Jail on a charge of aggravated battery, in lieu of $10,000 bond.
A licence plate was stolen from a vehicle at 803 Pine Place.

A Saturn View hit a deer at 7:52 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. 281.
