Stolen forklift recovered
A forklift that was reported stolen in the county earlier was found Thursday morning, at 81 South U.S. 281. An employee from the Great Bend Street Department reported the find at 9:25 a.m., after discovering someone had driven a tractor through the fence.

Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made six ambulance runs Thursday. There were no fires.

Barton County Sheriff
A Kansas license tag was found Thursday, half a mile north of NW 20 Ave. and NW 20 Road.
One vehicle rear-ended another at 8 p.m., at Railroad Ave. and South Washington.

Great Bend Police
A cab inspection and an ice cream truck inspection were both conducted Thursday at the Great Bend Police Department.
Vehicles driven by Erica Schwager and Melissa Lutt collided at 6:03 p.m. on Harrison St.
