Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made seven ambulance runs on Monday.
At 7:56 p.m. units responded to a report of lighting striking a pole in the area of 24th and Washington. At 8:43 p.m. units respond to 11th and Washington where a transformer was reportedly shooting sparks. Nothing was found in either area.  

Great Bend Police
The window on a van at 3820 Broadway Ave. was broken, it was reported Monday.
At 10 a.m., a vehicle driven by Mirasol Christopher hit a tree at 1312 Wilson St.
A computer was reportedly stolen from 5925 Eisenhower Court Apt. B.
A vehicle driven by Garrett Glynn hit a pole at 10:25 p.m. at 3607 10th St.

Barton County Sheriff
A motorist reported hitting an animal or something in the roadway at 6:10 a.m. Monday on U.S. 281 at mile marker 113.
