Fires
A curling iron caught the carpet on fire at 12:37 a.m. Monday at 2536 6th St., Great Bend
A field fire in the 300 block of SE 50 Ave. was reported at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Great Bend Police
An unknown motorist hit a fence at 620 Hubbard St., it was discovered last Friday morning.
An eastbound vehicle with unknown driver collided with a westbound vehicle driven by Tetyana Easley, who was making a left turn in the 3300 block of 10th St., at 3:14 p.m. Friday.
Someone threw a piece of wood through a window at 1721 12th St.
A vehicle driven by Wendall Sexton struck Stan Herrman at 8:10 a.m. Saturday at 10th and Main, as Sexton was turning and Herrman was crossing 10th St.
A vehicle driven by Rowetta Calp hit a guard rail on the North Main bridge at 9:35 p.m. Sunday.
A woman’s tan leather billfold and contents were reportedly stolen Sunday afternoon at JC Penney CO., 1500 Kansas Ave.
Theft of at green and white 10-speed bike with 26-inch tires was reported Monday.

Barton County Sheriff
Someone broke windows on a truck at 628 West U.S. 281 and flattened the tires, it was reported Friday.
A hit-and-run accident was reported at 1 p.m. Friday at 4101 3rd St., Great Bend.
A burglary at 437 NW 10 Ave. was reported. Locks were cut on outbuildings.
A large party with juveniles allegedly drinking in the 1700 block of NE 10 Ave. was reported at 10 p.m. Friday. Another large party, in the 100 block of South U.S. 281, was reported at 10:53 p.m. Saturday.
A two-vehicle, non-injury accident was reported at 11:06 a.m. Saturday on K-4 and Main.
Items were reportedly stolen from a car at 18 NE 25 Road, early Monday morning.
Theft of checks from 400 S. Patton Road was reported Monday.
A burlglary was reported at a student housing unit at Barton Community College, 245 NE 30 Road. An XBox and controllers, Wii and sensor bar, controllers and game, and a laptop computer were taken.
Vehicles hit deer at 6:50 a.m. Friday in the 900 block of NE 100 Ave.; at 6:57 p.m. on East K-4 at mile marker 128; at 10:15 p.m. on NE K-156 at NE 100 Ave.; Saturday at 6:08 a.m. on NE 40 Ave. and NE 30 Road; and 9 p.m. on North U.S. 281 and NE 50 Road; and Sunday on North U.S. 281 at mile marker 114 at 5:55 p.m.; and on West K-4 at mile marker 118 at 6:42 p.m.; and Tuesday in the 4900 block of Railroad Ave. at 4:54 a.m.
