Mutual aid requested
At 1:49 p.m. Tuesday, the Great Bend Fire Department received a request from Rice County for mutual aid at an oil rig southwest of Raymond, where a man was injured and was reportedly 50 feet above the ground with his hand caught in a pulling unit. Great Bend Fire Chief Mike Napolitano said a technical team was dispatched to help with a high-angle rope rescue.

A vehicle was keyed at 801 Baker Ave., it was reported Monday.
Vehicles driven by Dennis Merica and Cheryl Isern collided at 2:19 p.m. in the 900 block of 10th St.
Three subjects allegedly “trashed” a room they rented at 4200 10th St.
Vehicles driven by Jeunnesse Adande and Jorge Gonzalez collided at 3:16 p.m. at 16th and Holland. All parties refused medical treatment; both vehicles were towed.
Someone broke a window on a trailer at 5501 Ninth St. No. 83.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a van parked at 4100 Broadway Ave.

Firefighters made five ambulance runs Monday.
Smoke alarms sent firefighters to 170 SW 40 Ave. at 9:06 a.m. Monday and to 1310 Taft St. at 4:49 a.m. Tuesday. No fires were found.
At 10:40 a.m. Tuesday, there was a structure fire at 3223 24th St.
