Great Bend Police
A burglary in progress was reported at 12:01 a.m. Thursday at 1910 Van Buren St. The occupant reported hearing noises from the back of the residence, but police did not find anything.
Corporal Shane Becker and K-9 officer Lazar made a traffic stop at 12:06 a.m. at 12th and Adams St. Ryan Hamby was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
A theft was reported at 1514 Adams St.
Theft of a vehicle was reported at 1612 Stone St.
A wallet was found at Stone Lake.
Someone damaged an air conditioner and electric meter at 311 Walnut St.
Criminal use of a financial card was reported.
Items were stolen from the shop at 2100 Main.
A vehicle was searched following a traffic stop at 11:57 p.m. Thursday at 1200 Main. A possession of marijuana case was taken.
At 6:41 a.m., a broken vehicle window was reported at 2821 Forest.

Barton County Sheriff
The Great Bend Police Department and the Barton County Sheriff’s Office are switching to new software, which affects their record keeping and reports. The BCSO logs for criminal reports, accidents and jail book-ins for the past few days have been unavailable. The Great Bend Tribune is in contact with the department officials for breaking news, and will resume publishing logs when they become available.
