Great Bend Police
At 1:33 p.m. Wednesday, vehicles driven by Elsie Learned and Norma Moreno collided in the Dillons parking lot at 4107 10th St. as both drivers were backing up.
Two GBPD officers made an arrest for an alleged narcotics violation at 3:25 p.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of Frey Street. Cheri J. Kruse-Yahane, Great Bend, was booked into the Barton County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond. Charges were possession of methamphetamine, driving while suspended, possession of drug paraphernalia and no proof of insurance.
A sex offense was reported at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday at a Great Bend residence.
At 12:09 a.m. Thursday, a GBPD officer arrested Paul Kinderwater for alleged possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at “18th Street.” He was booked into the county jail in lieu of bond.

Barton County Sheriff
A camera and several other items were taken from a truck at 605 Cheyenne View Drive, Great Bend, sometime Tuesday night.
A wallet was stolen from a truck at 185 NE 40 Road, it was reported Wednesday.
A vehicle driven by Sandra Hernandez and a Great Bend Fire Department vehicle collided at 3:24 p.m. Wednesday at Sixth and Morphy. BCSO handled the case since a City of Great Bend employee was involved.

Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made seven ambulance runs Wednesday.
At 10:03 a.m. Wednesday they responded to a natural gas leak at 320 Walnut St., where a gas meter was hit by a car. They were able to get the gas leak stopped. The police log shows Charles Lisenby was driving a vehicle that struck a gas meter at 10:01 a.m.
At 6:14 p.m., firefighters responded to a small grass fire at 24th and Fry. Chief Mike Napolitano said the fire was believed to be caused by a vehicle driving by dragging its muffler. When the units arrived two men from a nearby home were trying to extinguish it.
