Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made seven ambulance runs Wednesday and six Thursday.
At 7:37 a.m. Wednesday, units responded to Home Lumber, 5625 10th St., after someone reported a hay bale on fire behind the business. Upon arrival they found no fire or smoke, but a bystander reported a set of duel semi-tractor tires had come off a truck traveling on Patton road and was smoldering.

Great Bend Police
Vehicles driven by Alexis Woods and Jeffery Miller collided at 9:43 a.m. Thursday at Forest and McKinley. Vehicles were removed by Marmie’s and Marshalls towing services.
A vehicle driven by Skyler Williams struck a parked vehicle at 2:41 p.m. at 1434 Ninth St.
An officer took a theft case in the 200 block of Third St.
At 12:36 a.m. Friday, a resident reported cattle were out and in the yards in the 2800 block of Harrison St. The owner was contacted and put the cattle up.

Barton County Sheriff
Individuals at two locations where property crimes were reported on Wednesday had more activity to report on Thursday. A second burglary was reported at 790 East K-4, after a shop was broken into again. This time a welder was missing. And, At 5540 Second St. Lot G, Great Bend, the location where someone shot the windows on a car the previous night, the victim reported that windows on the house had also be shot.
A burglary was reported at 680 NE 120 Road. A door to the residence was broken and another door was taken off.
A woman called Thursday after an officer attempted to deliver divorce papers to her husband in Barton County. She wanted officers to know where he was hiding.
A vehicle hit a deer at 10:11 p.m. in the 900 block of SE 20 Road, half a mile west of the curves south of Ellinwood.
A burglary was reported at 1:55 a.m. Friday at 67 B NE 20 Road B. The reporting party said he saw a truck pull up and two men, possibly in their mid 20s, took things out of a camper. They left, leaving the door on the motor home ajar.
