Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made nine ambulance runs on Friday, two on Saturday, and three on Sunday. There were two fire calls on Friday. Both were bonfires, advised citizens to install covers/screen to keep embers contained. One fire call on Saturday, a gas smell was reported in the 2400 Block of 16th, Unable to find source. One fire call on Sunday, at 7:08 p.m. firefighters were called to the 150 block of southeast 30 Ave. A car was totally engulfed when they arrived. The fire was extinguished.

Oct. 9
A non-injury accident was reported at 1419 Morphy St. A unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle and fled the scene.
Theft was reported at Walmart.
A non-injury accident was reported at Broadway Ave., and Taft St.
A non-injury accident was reported in the 3400 Block of 10th St. A unknown vehicle struck a fire hydrant.
A non-injury accident was reported at Odell St., and Walnut Drive.
Oct. 10
Attempted robbery was reported at 1225 Patton Road. A male subject attempted to take money from another male subject.
A non-injury accident was reported at 97 southwest and 5 Ave. A unknown vehicle hit a parked vehicle.
Theft was reported at Sears. Tools were stolen.
Theft was reported at Walmart.

Theft was reported in the 2500 Block of 16th St.

A non-injury accident was reported in the 200 Block of west U.S. 56. A vehicle hit a deer.

A non-injury accident was reported at Railroad Ave., and Oil Center Road. A vehicle hit a deer.

Identity theft was reported at 197 northeast 30 Road.
Theft was report at Rosewood Services. An engagement ring was stolen.
A non-injury accident was reported in the 400 Block of southwest 10 Ave. A vehicle hit a deer.
Oct. 11
A non-injury accident was reported at 241 northeast 30 road. A vehicle hit a deer.
Illegal hunting was reported at southeast 60 Ave., and southeast 10 Road.
A non-injury accident was reported at Hitschman Elevators in Beaver.
Kansas Highway Patrol
A crash involving 2 vehicles occurred on Saturday at 2:10 p.m., in Ellsworth County at the K-14 and K-140 intersection,
A Vehicle driven by Alan Rice, age 16, was westbound on K-140 and failed to yield and made an unsafe left turn in front of a vehicle driven by Dania Gonzalez, age 16, which was heading eastbound on K-140. Both vehicles came to rest in the intersection.
Both drivers were injured in the accident along with both passengers in the vehicle driven by Gonzalez. They were taken to Ellsworth County Medical center.
