Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made nine ambulance runs Thursday. At 12:42 p.m., units responded to 247 East U.S. 56, where trash in a bin next to Vulcan Trailer was on fire. The fire was extinguished with no dollar loss.

Great Bend Police
Vehicles driven by Arnold Holley and William Basinger collided at 8 a.m. Thursday in the 2200 block of 10th St.
A woman reported being battered at Burger King, 3929 10th St., by an unknown male who grabbed her neck and started to kiss her.
A Kansas license tag was reportedly stolen from an unknown location.
Property was reportedly stolen from 1814 Odell St.
Theft of a cell phone was reported.
After investigating a domestic violence report Thursday evening, police were attempting to locate a local woman suspected of criminal threat and aggravated battery.

Barton County Sheriff
A Peterbilt truck his a cow around 1:20 a.m. Thursday at mile marker 128 on north U.S. 281. The driver reported the accident at 9:55 a.m. but said the carcass was out of the road.
A burglary was reported at 4:29 a.m. Friday at a rural Hoisington address on NW 150 Road. The back and front doors of the house were open; both were locked when the reporting party went to bed. Nothing was missing.
