Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters were dispatched to the area just east of Kiowa Road on U.S. 56 at 12:10 p.m. Sunday, for a semitrailer with hot brakes.
They made no ambulance runs Friday, one Saturday and four Sunday.

Barton County Sheriff
A fight between two female inmates at the Barton County Jail was broken up at 7:24 a.m. Friday.
Two bales of hay were stolen from the 1100 block of NW 30 Ave., it was reported Friday.
A vehicle hit a cow at 9:49 p.m. Friday on U.S. 56, two or three miles east of Ellinwood.

Great Bend Police
A male reportedly stole meat, Friday morning at the Dillon’s store at 1811 Main.
Vehicles driven by Kathy Henry and Amber Shewbart collided at 2344 Washington St. at 2:11 p.m. Friday.
An assault involving known persons was reported at 8:23 p.m. at 804 Adams St.
Broken windows on vehicles at 3503 10th St. and 425 Maple St. were reported Friday night.
At 3:07 a.m. Saturday, a resident at 2219 16th St. Apt. B reported someone damaging a window on the apartment.
License plate no. 596 AWY was reportedly stolen from a truck at 4707 8th St.
A vehicle driven by Douglas Wells was westbound in the 3900 block of Broadway at 11:25 a.m. Saturday and struck a vehicle driven by David Jacobs, who was stopped in traffic.
A male reportedly stole a bottle of tequila, Saturday afternoon from Hejny Retail Liquor Store, 821 Main.
A known person allegedly stole PCV fittings from Orscheln Farm & Home, 5320 10th St. A notice to appear in municipal court was signed and served.
At 1:03 a.m. Sunday, someone reported subjects shooting from a dark colored Chrysler 300 on Third Street. An officer stopped a green Chrysler 300 in the 400 block of Chestnut St. but did not find any weapons.
Theft of a cell phone from 901 Washington St. was reported at 2:10 a.m. Sunday.
A sex offense in the 1600 block of Jefferson St. was reported at 2:17 a.m. Sunday.
A vehicle driven by Bo Ferrell struck a parked vehicle in the 1900 block of Washington at 3:40 a.m. Sunday.
Theft of an orange boys bicycle from 5212 Ridgeway Dr. was reported.
