Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made five ambulance runs on Wednesday. There were two fire calls, at 9:26 a.m. units responded to SE 20th road and SE 20th avenue for a grass fire. Upon arrival we found 3 separate small fires in south ditch. The fires were extinguished. At 06:26 a.m., Thursday morning units responded to 57 SE 16th road for trees on fire. Upon arrival found a small pile of tree limbs burning inside a dug burn pit on north side of SE 16 road in open lot. With the possibility of high winds on Wednesday, the fire was extinguished.

Great Bend Police
A wallet was stolen from a residence at 720 Morphy St.
Power tools and hardware was stolen from a building at 1207 Washington Ave.
Money was stolen from a business at 3607 10th St.
