Barton County Sheriff

A K-9 was called to 2nd Ave. and Main Street in Great Bend at 1:54 a.m. Tuesday. A warrant arrest was made, with assistance from the Great Bend Police Department.

A structure fire was reported at 6:38 p.m. at 752 North U.S. 281, Great Bend.


Great Bend Police

A burglary was reported at 1515 Williams St., where a vehicle parked behind the business was damaged.

A non-injury crash occurred at 10:36 a.m. Tuesday when a vehicle driven by Lonnie Smithie was turning north onto Harrison from 10th St. and struck a traffic control sign.

Police were notified that a stolen U-Haul car trailer was located in South Dakota and turned over to a dealer.

Two females entered the Dollar General store at 2400 10th St. around 5:11 p.m. Tuesday and one of them allegedly shoplifted body spray. Loss was $3.

A forged check was reportedly found in a room at the Holiday Inn Express, 3821 10th St., and turned over to the GBPD. A fraud case was taken.

A search warrant was executed around 3 a.m. Wednesday at McGe Storage Sheds, 86 SW 10 Ave., Great Bend.
