Great Bend Fire/EMS

Firefighters were dispatched to The University of Kansas Health System - Great Bend Campus at 514 Cleveland St. at 4:47 p.m. Monday. Upon arrival, light smoke was found coming from a piece of equipment. Firefighters ventilated the area and returned to the station. No fire was found.

Emergency Medical Service responded to three calls Monday.


Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash was reported at 6:45 a.m. Monday on North U.S. 281 at mile marker 112.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:11 a.m. in the 500 block of NW 130 Ave., Albert.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:08 a.m. at K-4 and NW 70 Ave.

A fraud was reported at 773 NW 30 Ave.


Great Bend Police

Theft of a phone was reported Monday at 2301 Monroe St.

A burglary was reported Tuesday morning at 125 Chestnut St.
