Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service responded to nine calls on Tuesday. A small diesel spill was reported at 10th and Pine at 7:53 a.m. There were no fires.


Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash was reported at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday on East K-4 at mile marker 141, which is outside of Barton County.

A non-injury crash was reported at 2:19 p.m. at The Center for Counseling and Consultation, 5815 Broadway Ave., Great Bend. BCSO handled the call because the crash involved a City of Great Bend patrol car.

A non-injury crash was reported at 3:09 p.m. at NE 60 Ave. and East U.S. 56, Great Bend.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:52 p.m. at NW 40 Ave. and NW 100 Road, Hoisington.


Great Bend Police

A burglary was reported Tuesday at 125 Chestnut St.

Scam phone calls were reported.

A known person allegedly stole items from Smokers Outlet, 3220 10th St. A notice to appear was signed.

A non-injury crash was reported at 3:57 p.m. at 10th and McKinley.

A battery was reported at Walnut Bowl, 3101 Washington St.

Theft of a phone was reported at 5210 10th St.

A battery that occurred in Tulsa, Okla., was reported at the University of Kansas Health System Great Bend Campus. A GBPD officer followed up and spoke to an officer in Tulsa.

Someone damaged a vehicle at 5839 16th St. Terrace.

Police were contacted at 6:40 a.m. Wednesday about a vehicle from the 800 block of Pine Street that was involved in a hit-and-run in Salina. The vehicle was later located in Salina.
