Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service was on standby Friday and Saturday at the drag races.

EMS performed two ambulance runs Friday, five Saturday, six Sunday and seven Monday. There was one false alarm Monday caused by a system malfunction.


Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash was reported at 8:36 a.m. Monday in the 1400 block of NE 130 Ave., Claflin.

A possible burglary in progress was reported at 7:43 p.m. at the former Desperados, 206 N. U.S. 281. No case was taken at the time.


Great Bend Police

A possible burglary in progress or prowler was reported at 1:19 a.m. Monday in the 300 block of Frey Street. Nothing was found.

A dog bite was reported in the 2100 block of Monroe Street.

Items were reportedly stolen from a storage unit at Holiday Mini Storage Units, 5210 10th St.

A cat bite was reported in the 400 block of Walnut Street.

The K-9 was requested to assist an outside agency on a chase at 3:56 p.m. in the 5900 block of Aspen Drive.

A burglary was reported at 2816 19th St. A case was taken for damage to the residence.

Theft of a bicycle was reported at 2713 Morton St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:02 a.m. Tuesday in the 1700 block of Washington Street.

A theft was reported at 1723 Jackson St.

The K-9 unit was dispatched to Lincoln Elementary School on Tuesday morning.

A fraud case was reported at 1413 11th St.
