Barton County Sheriff

Active shooter calls were dispatched at 2:33 p.m. Tuesday as part of a county-wide drill. Hospitals in Great Bend, Ellinwood and Hoisington participated.

A theft was reported Tuesday at Casey’s General Store in La Crosse.

Great Bend Police

A sex offense was reported at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday.

A license plate reported missing in an earlier case was located.

A sex offense was reported at 4:49 p.m.

Great Bend Fire/EMS

There were seven Emergency Medical Service calls Tuesday. There was also a gas leak reported at 5:51 p.m. in the 3100 block of Forest Ave. Firefighters closed them meter and notified the gas company.
